NOTICE OF PENDENCY OF CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT AND HEARING DATE ON MOTION FOR FINAL COURT APPROVAL

Sara DeRosa v. ViacomCBS, Inc., Sessions Payroll Management Inc., et al.. United States District Court, Central District of California Western Division Case No. 2:20-cv-02965-WLH-GJS

The deadline to file an objection to the motion for attorneys’ fees, litigation costs, and service award (which is posted for viewing on this Settlement Website) has been extended to December 5, 2023. Any Class Member who believes the motion should not be granted by the Court for any reason may object. Written objections must state your name, current address, telephone number, and describe why and what you believe to be unfair about the requested attorneys’ fees, litigation costs, and/or service award, and whether you intend to appear at the final approval hearing. All objections or other correspondence must also state the name and number of the case, which is DeRosa v. ViacomCBS Inc., Sessions Payroll Management, Inc. et al., in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Case No. 2:20-cv-02965-WLH-GJS. Class Members may enter an appearance through an attorney if the Class Member so desires. (Note: You may not object to the motion if you timely and validly opt out of the Settlement, as in that case, the Settlement will not impact you.)

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS MAY BE AFFECTED BY THIS SETTLEMENT. PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY.

If you were payrolled through Sessions Payroll Management, Inc. (or any of its affiliates, including Firsthand Productions, Inc., East End Productions, Inc., RE Productions, Inc., or Snapshot Productions, Inc.) for work as a background or stand-in actor on television shows that were produced by CBS Studios Inc. or Eye Productions Inc. and were filmed in New York or California from March 30, 2014 through October 22, 2022, your legal rights may be affected by this settlement.

SUMMARY OF YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OPTIONS IN THIS SETTLEMENT:

Do Nothing and Receive a Payment

To receive a cash payment from the settlement, you do not have to do anything. If the settlement is finally approved by the Court, the payment will be mailed to you at your last known address. If your address has changed or changes before you receive payment or if you are not certain whether the address last on file is correct, please notify the Settlement Administrator. In exchange for the settlement payment, you will release claims against Settling Defendants and any of the other Released Parties, as detailed in the Notice.

EXCLUDE YOURSELF

To exclude yourself from the class settlement, you must send a written request for exclusion to the Settlement Administrator. If you request exclusion, you will retain your right to sue Settling Defendants and any of the other Released Parties as to the claims released by the class settlement. If you request exclusion, you will receive no money from the class settlement.

Object/Comment

You may write to the Court about why you like or do not like the settlement or you may appear at the Final Approval Hearing to make an oral statement in support of or in opposition to the settlement.
